Stylize Your Shutters with Options like Craftsman Shutter Frames in Clearwater
Every once in a while we’ll hear a Clearwater homeowner remark “all shutters look the same.” Let’s get rid of any confusion – that couldn’t be further from reality.
Most people don’t realize the number of options there are when it comes to interior plantation shutters in Clearwater, and the impact those options can have. One of the most important of those options is the type of shutter frame you go with.
Clearwater Custom Shutter Frames
Your options for shutter frames will depend on:
-
How your window operates.
-
The depth of the window sill.
-
Whether you’ll have an outside mount or inside mount.
-
Your own personal taste.
A few of our shutter frames are offered only in certain materials, such as our Polywood® faux wood shutters, a few are exclusive to an inside or outside mount of a window, and some might just look better than others with your existing trim, like our Craftsman frame shutters, built for Craftsman style homes and only offered by Sunburst.
Here are some of the most commonly picked shutter frames for Clearwater homeowners.
Craftsman Frame Shutters - You can’t turn on an episode of Flip or Flop without seeing Craftsman design. This Sunburst-exclusive frame was built especially for Craftsman style homes and homes that utilize Craftsman elements. A Craftsman frame offers a simple, clean look, so no part of your home looks “overdesigned” compared to the rest. If utilizing Craftsman fashion is what you want, this is the frame for you. Currently available in Polywood and reclaimed wood shutters only.
L-Frame Shutters - An L-frame is possibly the simplest and most functional frame we offer. They have a sleek, modern look, and tend to be the easiest to work around for specialty windows. The L-frame can be used as both an outside and inside mount, if you’d like to keep your existing window trim, and is available in Polywood® faux wood shutters, Ovation® hardwood shutters, reclaimed wood shutters and Studio™ shutters.
Z-Frame Shutters - Z-frames are a widely-chosen style because they give you a stylish, elegant look on your window, much like bass or crown molding. The name “Z-frame” comes from the shape of its exterior, which is installed on an inside mount of a window jamb, but wraps around to the outside in a “Z” figure. That wrapping shape makes it so you don’t even need window trim around the window. Z-frames are available in all of our shutter materials.
Decorative Frame Shutters - A decorative frame is all about style. With extensive texturing and an eye-catching shape, this frame is best used when you have no existing window trim, or if you want to cover your existing trim. Decorative frames are offered in Ovation and Polywood shutters only.
